Tomah teen arrested on cocaine charges

The Tomah Police Department arrested a 17-year- old Tomah man on Tuesday for possession of cocaine.

Leonard Figgins was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to deliver, and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, which are both felonies. Figgins was also charged with resisting/obstructing and damage to property.

According to the report made by the Tomah Police Department, the Tomah Police received information in reference to two subjects selling crack cocaine. Also included with the description of the subjects was a description of a vehicle.

The described vehicle was located in a ditch near the north end of the City of Tomah. The two subjects initially identified as possibly selling cocaine were in the immediate vicinity. Figgins initially provided a false name to officers and was arrested. When arrested, he was searched and found to be in possession of 42 baggies of cocaine/crack cocaine, totaling approximately 25 grams, and $338 in cash. The street value of the cocaine that was seized is approximately $2,500.

After being taken into custody, Figgins kicked the back window out of a squad car, officers said. He was transported to the Monroe County Jail, and had an initial appearance on Wednesday. The second subject was released without charges.
