Marjorie E. Kelly

Marjorie E. Kelly, age 73, of Tomah, WI, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, at the Tomah Healthcare Center. She was born on March 22, 1934, to Louis and Mildred (Davis) Nelson in Flint, MI. She graduated as the valedictorian of her class in 1952 from Florence High School.

She was united in marriage to Robert Kelly on March 19, 1955, in Iron Mountain, MI. Together they lived in Madison for a few years before moving to Tomah in 1961. They later lived in California, Florida and Arizona before moving back to Tomah. Marjorie enjoyed cooking, shopping, doing needlepoint, china painting and playing slot machines.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Kelly of Tomah; her children, Lori (Tom) Kane of Neenah, Teri Peardot of Tomah, Mike (Nan) Kelly of Camp Douglas, Kathleen (Paul) Thompson of Tunnel City, and Tim Kelly of Stanley; grandchildren, Ryan Kane of Minneapolis, MN, Aaron (Casey) Kane of Menasha, Nathan (Alex) Kane of Neenah, Jared Von Haden of Tomah, Sean and McKenna Peardot of Tomah, Brad and Michele Kelly of Camp Douglas, and Kendra and Kurt Thompson of Tunnel City; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Lily Kane of Neenah; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mildred; her brother, Louis Jr., and a granddaughter, Hannah Peardot.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 21, at 11 a.m. at the Torkelson Funeral Home in Tomah. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Tomah. Family and friends are invited for visitation on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The Torkelson Funeral Home of Tomah is assisting the family with arrangements.
