Jane E. Beardsley-Heintz

Jane E. Beardsley-Heintz, 67 of Tomah died Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Lakeview Health Center in West Salem. She was born May 7, 1940 to Fredrick and Nevis (Day) Beardsley at Tomah. She was a graduate of Tomah High School after her graduation she moved to Milton with her sister. She was united in marriage to Norman Heintz on April 25, 1959 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

She enjoyed painting, crocheting and knitting.

She is survived by 3 daughters , Amy Schwarz of Milton, Susan (Rick) Lyter of Fort Atkinson and Jennifer Quade of Milton, three grandchildren Nichole (her special friend Jordan Gies) Schwarz , Alisha Brieske, and Elizabeth Schwarz , her mother Nevis Beardsley of Tomah, a sister Mary Bradshaw of Fayetteville, NC, a , nieces, nephews many other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, 2 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, Tomah. Pastor Mark W. Benning will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Sparta.

Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 p.m.. until the time of the service.

Harold Richard Humburg

Harold Richard Humburg, 79 of Tomah, WI, formerly of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2007 at his home.

Born on April 8, 1928 in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Walter and Anna (Tuizinski) Humburg.

In Illinois he was united in marriage to Katherine "Kate" Wethmuller. She preceded him in death on September 6, 1993.

Harold served our country in the United States Army from March 28, 1946 until March 5, 1948. He was a proud veteran. Professionally, Harold work as a machinist for J.I. Case until his retirement.

Hunting and fishing was all part of his love of the great outdoors, and his time at his cabin in Hiles, Wisconsin will be forever remembered by the countless friends who would join him there for a fishing trip. Harold enjoyed gambling, particularly the dollar slots and the Wheel of Fortune. He was a member of the American Legion Post 21 and was also a member of the Racine Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his son Scott Humburg of Tomah; a granddaughter, Natasha Humburg of Genoa City; a grandson, Christopher Becker of Tomah; three step-sons: Denny (Paula) Albright of Racine, Jim (Nancy) Albright of Wautoma, and Jerry Albright of Somers; a step-daughter, Peggy (Dan) Sharkozy of Racine; thirteen step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Miller of Kenosha; two brothers, Albert Humburg of Alabama, and Howard Humburg of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives; and many friends n many children of which referred to him as “Uncle” Harold.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation will be hosted on Thursday from 11 a.m until the time of the service at the funeral home.

John James Rattle

On October 23, 1933 John James Rattle was born to Oscar Marion and Mable (Elliott) Rattle in Monroe county, Tomah, Wisconsin. He departed this life in Farmerville - Lake D' Arbonne, LA on December 23, 2007 at the age of 74 years. John was baptized a member of the Catholic Church.

John graduated from Tomah High school in 1952. He was a Letterman in football and boxing. He was awarded 1 Silver glove and 3 Golden Glove awards. He served his machinist apprenticeship and worked for the Tomah and Milwaukee Railroad in Tomah, WI.

He was a Korean era veteran of the Wisconsin National Guard serving from 1951 - 1961 with the 732 Ordinance Maintenance Battalion Co. B, 32 Division.

John retired from Seagate Technology in Oklahoma City, after 33 and half years. as a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer. After retirement he continued to design and worked on many projects. He enjoyed boating, fishing and feeding the wood ducks.

He was preceded in death his parents Oscar Marion and Mable (Elliott) Rattle. His sisters, Ione, Gwen and Jean, and brothers James, Oscar (Buster) and Richard.

He leaves his wife Cora of the home: they shared 32 years of the joys and sorrows of life together. daughters Stephany and husband Dale White of Augusta, Ga. & children Avalon, Ash, and Sean of Augusta: Jackie Garcia of Bethany, OK and children Tiffany and Tony and grand daughter: Mariah all of Bethany: and Colleen and husband Ken Russell of Yukon, OK and children: Tara, Jacob and David of Yukon: step- daughter; Carla and husband Michael Munday of Houston, TX and daughter Chelsea of Houston: a brother Keith and his wife Mitzi Rattle of Denver, Colorado. and a sister: Phyllis Schleicher of Tomah, Wisconsin. John. also had many fond and loving memories of his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held Saturday Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. in the Smith and Turner chapel in Yukon, OK with burial in the Yukon cemetery. David P. Sheahan

David P. Sheahan, 78, of Wilton died December 27, 2007 peacefully surrounded by his family at the Gundersen Lutheran Health Center, LaCrosse.

He was born July 23, 1929 to Philip and Hazel (Richards) Sheahan.

David was married to Delores “Dee” Sandvigen. He was an instructor for DeVry Institute of Technology, and was employed by NASA. . He worked on the “Molly Jo” as a commercial fisherman in Florida. He worked as an electrician at Union Camp until his retirement. After his retirement, he worked at Jellystone. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved cooking for his family every Sunday, especially the holiday meals. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather (Papa), and brother.

In addition to his wife Delores “Dee“, he is survived by 5 children, Andrea (Joe) Moyer and Michelle (Don) Sadewater both of Belvidere, IL, Philip Sheahan of Portage, Molly (Nate) Parrish of Tomah, Bridget (Tony Olson) Sheahan of Hillsboro, 4 grandchildren, Stephanie and Kayla Sheahan, Bryce and Maci Parrish, a sister Cleo Voiles of Belvidere, IL,3 brothers Robert (Sue), Kenneth (Karla), Ronald (Pat) Sheahan all of Belvidere, IL, a sister-in-law Karen Ahmand of Henderson, NV, a brother-in-law Leroy (Barb) Sandvigen of Sparta, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Roy and Ina Sandvigen, a brother Richard, a sister Lola “Bernice” Luxton, and 3 brothers-in-law Donald Luxton, L.C. Voiles, and Ronald Sandvigan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Wilton. Father Richard C. Dickman will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday at the Smith-Nelson Funeral Home, Wilton from 4 until 8:p.m.., and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Justin E. “JT”

Thomas

Justin E. “JT” Thomas, 27, of Green Bay, formerly of the Sioux City, Iowa, area, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2007, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

Justin was born in St. Paul, Minn., to Pamela Mothershead of Sioux City and Willi Thomas of Sparta. He was raised in the Sioux City are graduated from Kingsley-Pierson High School in 1998. Shortly after, he moved to Wisconsin.

He was quite intelligent and was quite an entertainer. Justin was always willing to help someone out. He enjoyed new things and participating in new adventures. He loved bowling, playing dominos, shooting pool and eating hot wings. He wouldn’t miss an episode of the George Lopez Show, Cops or My Wife and Kids. All and all he was a good person. Justin was always willing to help a friend in need, and was never scared to try new things.

Survivors include his parents; his significant other, Jodi Glover of Green Bay; two daughters, Kenya and Akeisha Thomas of Tomah and Green Bay, Wis. (he was expecting another child in the summer); a sister, Brandy Thomas and her fiance, Corey Krotz of Sioux City; two brothers, Jonathon Ferguson and his fiancee, Brittany Buckholtz of Grimes, Iowa, and Bryce Ferguson currently serving active duty in Iraq; grandparents, Allen and Carol Mays of Madrid, Iowa, and Florene Thomas of Arkansas; four nieces, Amiah and Karis Thomas of Sioux City and Joslyn and Essance Ferguson of West Des Moines; and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, JB Thomas.

Private services were held at Malcore (West) Funeral Home in Green Bay.
