The Tomah School Board’s 4-year-old Kindergarten Ad-Hoc Study Committee will meet Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the school district office.
Agenda items include:
u Update on the Child Development Day survey. The survey asked parents about transportation issues relating to 4-year-old kindergarten.
u Update on the May 5 community provider meeting at 7 p.m. in the Tomah High School Auditorium.
u Review dates for visits to school districts with 4-year-old kindergartens.
u Establish timelines and an action plan.
Tomah is now in the minority of Wisconsin school districts that don’t offer 4-year-old kindergarten. Over 60 percent of Wisconsin’s districts offer the program, which became eligible for state aid in 1984.
