LeRoy Brenson

Le Roy Brenson 70, of Tomah, died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Tomah Memorial Hospital. He was born Dec. 25, 1937, to George and Ethel (Benson) Brenson in Chicago, IL. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was united in marriage to Darlene Deitrich at the First Baptist Church in Reedsburg on Nov. 13, 1971. He worked for Meca Sportswear until his retirement. He enjoyed his trips to the casino and playing euchre at the Senior Center. His hobbies were his gardening, planting and taking care of his flower beds. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Darlene; a daughter, Dawn (Tim) McFarlane of Reedsburg; two sons, Jeff (Darlyn) Brenson of Tomah and Todd of Sparta; six grandchildren, Andrea (Andy) Clark of Milwaukee, Nichol MacFarlane of Reedsburg, Devon Brenson of Tomah, Kelcee Brenson of Westby and Helen Brenson and Alex Brenson, both of Sparta; two sisters, Lenore (Glen) Austin and Ethel Lakey, both of Reedsburg; his mother-in-law, June Deitrich of Reedsburg; a sister-in-law, Nancy Brenson of Reedsburg; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ted and his father-in-law Frank Deitrich.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, May 18, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
