The Dems argue they should be making Smaller cars,Well look are the FACTS, the cmall car market is not as big as the SUV and PICKUP market, which means what? well lost jobs because people are not buying nearly as many vehicles as they used to because they really don't want small cars, if they did then GM and FORD would be selling TONS of the smaller ones to make up for the loss SUV sales.

Now for Years this was so obviously going to happen it's laughable to even hear how surprised people are about the economy and what is going to happen with the loss of THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS OF JOBS. To bad we didn't have our OWN OIL in this country

These next 10 years are going to be REALLY ROUGH is we don't change our ways and do it PRONTO. The world is using more OIL then being produced daily, make no mistake we are going to see OIL go to $150-$175.00 a barrel.

Now look at OBAMA's speeches HE says we can't drive our cars so much and we can't heat our houses so much. HE states that THE US is the problem with everything. OBAMA is one of those people that supported NO NEW DRILLING OF OIL

Meanwhile we have NO ALTERNATIVE FUELS TO TAKE OIL'S PLACE TODAY.

But OBAMA thinks EXXON/MOBILE is the largest oil company in the world when in reality they are the 18thy largest OIL company in the world. and they BUY most of there OIL of the open Market.......

" I don't think there's anything wrong with SUVs, just the goofs that drive them. It seems to me that if someone who drives an SUV at 15 MPG had a car at 30 MPG instead, they'd be using half as much gas.

If you don't NEED an SUV or truck for your daily life, i.e. you're a farmer etc., it seems pretty silly to own one. I drive a lot, and I spent maybe $75 a week on gas. Several of my friends with large trucks and SUVs use twice as much gas and spend twice as much on gas when they have no reason to. Apparently they sure do look cool though. Me? I'd rather save a few thousand dollars a year. That's plenty of money left over to rent a truck for a day when I really need one. "

Corn Based Ethanol production was increased and laws were made to make reformulation gas with tons of different formulas that must be used across the nation, this has put a huge strain on our limited refinery capacity. REMEMBER we cannot get approval to build new refineries, we are using refineries that have been built 30 years ago, with no intention to build new ones today.

We also BLOCKED all Drilling in ANWAR yes that frozen desert and offshore where we have almost a hundred billion barrels of untapped OIL that they know of today

in all we have enough OIL in reserves to supply our needs for at least 60 years.

but we need to push this fallacy of Oil is running out and produce these scare tactics from the HOAX of man-made Global warming.

We do need to develop alternative energy but until we can develop it and make it 1) WORK and 2) be feasible to all then we must use what we have, can we conserve more in some areas? possibly. All I know is I'm tired of hearing that the masses are wasting so much, who is anyone to say that others are wasting just by generalizing statements.

The problem with making typical KNEE JERK REACTIONS to problems is we end up with FAILED ETHANOL PROGRAMS, that have created other more dire problems like food shortages. we need to look long term and how we can get there and when we get there, now we must be able to allow common sense to reign.


For now this would mean to DRILL,DRILL,DRILL..... I hear the mantra of the far left loonies saying you can't drill your way out of this mess, well maybe not in the long term but certainly in the short term.....We have 1 of 2 choices.

1) we just keep sitting on our hands and watch Oil rise in price to an unaffordable state, and wait for more geo-political problems to possibly shut off the oil supply all while waiting for a VIABLE Alternative energy source

2) until we find Viable Alternative sources we Drill the OIL we have and build more refineries, Build nuclear power plants, we can also use the CLEANER COAL from Wyoming that takes very little to make into a very,very clean source of energy, instead of using the coal from W.V. which by the way a bill by Byrd made sure the coal is used from W.V.for the east coast.

A little common sense would have been warranted back in the 90's and fuel today would be less than half of what it is today. but then again if common sense reigned in this country we would not have the FAR LEFT WHACKO's ruining everything to achieve there SOCIALIST STATE "

The Politicians have FAILED us massively by blocking drilling of Oil in ANWAR and offshore that holds huge reserves while we search for the alternative fuels. Roughly 68% to 82% of US oil reserves are controlled by the Government and NOT accessible to the OIL companies. WHY? When we have 60 years plus of OIL available cant we drill it? I am sure within 60 years we could develop some other forms of commuting and other ways of heating our homes (wait we have at least 120 years of Natural gas but most of that is locked up also) and if we cant develop new energy sources in the next 60 years then we should park all our vehicles and just walk.
Then we have the whackos complaining about drilling in ANWAR. Well maybe they should be protesting in Canada where they drill in the same environment without protest, guess they really dont understand geography, apparently only Alaskan Polar bears are important, which by the way has been on the increase since the late 50s. I know some buy into the notion that we have the technology today for electric or battery cars but its still 10 or more years off to be feasible, and the other technology is still not there yet. Solar is very expensive and the payback takes too long for working Americans to afford. Also wind energy is GREAT if its not in your backyard. I love how everyone tells others to let a wind turbines be built in others backyard but not in theirs?

These could be built away from people and not be a problem we can all agree on that, I used to travel past these and sleeping next to them was out of the question. Why are we not building these in our National and State parks? This would seem feasible to me far enough away from homes to not be a problem and all the environMENTALSIT can visit them when they are protesting against some other worthless cause oops sorry worthy cause according to them. Giant wing turbines on public land would be like SHRINES to those that believe all this over hype of man-made Global warming, after all this is nothing more than a cult of worshipers to the Great Environmentalist GOD.
