Letter" Obama a divider, not a uniter

The far-left group MoveOn.org is already running a TV election ad supporting Barack Obama for president. In it, a man claiming to be a lifelong Republican says he is going to vote for Obama because he can bring Republicans and Democrats together. I ask how? All you have to do is look at Obama’s record. He has voted the far-left liberal partisan position every time. He has never worked with anyone across the aisle (Republican). He has never sponsored any legislation with or without a Republican sponsor. This group MoveOn.org once sponsored an ad that created a firestorm, smearing an honored and respected general of the Army. Now they are trying to fool the American people again.

Only one candidate has a record of working with both parties for the betterment of the American people. He worked with a group of 14 Democrats and Republicans to preserve the time honored filibuster in the U.S. Senate (Gang of 14). He has sponsored legislation trying to bring the left and the right together (McCain-Kennedy and McCain-Feingold). He has voted for Supreme Court justices that were qualified (Ruth Bader-Ginsburg) where Obama voted against Chief Justice John Roberts.

This TV ad is portraying Obama as something he is not. John McCain is the real uniter. But you don’t have to believe me. Their records in Congress speak for themselves.

" Yes, let's tax each family $3,300/yr for using mother earth!! Novel idea isn't it??? No one has the ability to now what the weather will do, that is up to God or whoever you believe in. Al Gore won a nobel peace prize for what?? Then for a magazine to insult the veteran's who sacrificed their lives to "hold up a tree"??? Wake up people, we have let special interest groups lobby and we are having laws passed all the time that they get their little groups together and vote on. Gee did you all vote to save the polar bears and not tap our own reserves??? Have we not lost farms because of stupid laws that "protect" animals, laws that make it almost impossible to make a living. The real problem is that people do not pay enough attention to these groups. Check some of them out on www.activistcash.com. And if you donate to HSUS (Humane Society of the US) you will see where their donations go....they don't care about people and the real world problems....they want all animals freed slowly and they are targeting our children, same group as PETA, only with a different name.....by the way, the local humane society is not part of HSUS. " Well last I checked we still live in a "FREE AMERICA" but we still have the "RIGHT" to choose what we drive. This will change shortly just watch and see the new garbage going to come out of WASHINGTON

If someone "CHOOSES" to drive a Big SUV or "BIG BAD PICK-UP" they are paying for it because they are paying more taxes in the way of using more gas

The only problem we have with high fuel prices is THE GOVERNMENT, THE WHACKO'S, THE DEMOCRATS that have blocked our drilling for more OIL in our own backyard, AND THE WIMPY REPUBLICANS for not fighting this more

NOW we have GM closing down car plants and the WHACKO DEMOCRATS are complaining about all the jobs being lost....DUH..... You Democrats have been promoting this for so long and now you shall reap the seeds you have sown. The Dems argue they should be making Smaller cars,Well look are the FACTS, the cmall car market is not as big as the SUV and PICKUP market, which means what? well lost jobs because people are not buying nearly as many vehicles as they used to because they really don't want small cars, if they did then GM and FORD would be selling TONS of the smaller ones to make up for the loss SUV sales.

Now for Years this was so obviously going to happen it's laughable to even hear how surprised people are about the economy and what is going to happen with the loss of THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS OF JOBS. To bad we didn't have our OWN OIL in this country

These next 10 years are going to be REALLY ROUGH is we don't change our ways and do it PRONTO. The world is using more OIL then being produced daily, make no mistake we are going to see OIL go to $150-$175.00 a barrel.

Now look at OBAMA's speeches HE says we can't drive our cars so much and we can't heat our houses so much. HE states that THE US is the problem with everything. OBAMA is one of those people that supported NO NEW DRILLING OF OIL

Meanwhile we have NO ALTERNATIVE FUELS TO TAKE OIL'S PLACE TODAY.

OBAMA is juvenile in his thinking about ENERGY.

But OBAMA thinks EXXON/MOBILE is the largest oil company in the world when in reality they are the 18thy largest OIL company in the world. and they BUY most of there OIL of the open Market.......

I'm so tired of HEARING the MONTRA from the left that we need ALTERNATIVE FUEL. WELL WHERE THE HELL IS IT? Typical LIBERAL SOCIALIST Just complain with no answers but do it our way

OBAMA will make us wish for $4.00 a gallon Fuel in 2 years.

I just hope that everyone realizes that once we do actually develop "ALTERNATIVE FUELS" the Feds and the STATES are going to TAX the hell out of them to pay for all the unneeded programs they wish to create as they do now with OIL "

" I don't think there's anything wrong with SUVs, just the goofs that drive them. It seems to me that if someone who drives an SUV at 15 MPG had a car at 30 MPG instead, they'd be using half as much gas.

If you don't NEED an SUV or truck for your daily life, i.e. you're a farmer etc., it seems pretty silly to own one. I drive a lot, and I spent maybe $75 a week on gas. Several of my friends with large trucks and SUVs use twice as much gas and spend twice as much on gas when they have no reason to. Apparently they sure do look cool though. Me? I'd rather save a few thousand dollars a year. That's plenty of money left over to rent a truck for a day when I really need one. "

" Do you realize that under the Clinton administration they did the exact same thing but with just environMENTALIST to make there FAILED energy policy.

What did we achieve with the Clinton Energy policy? let's look at the facts

Corn Based Ethanol production was increased and laws were made to make reformulation gas with tons of different formulas that must be used across the nation, this has put a huge strain on our limited refinery capacity. REMEMBER we cannot get approval to build new refineries, we are using refineries that have been built 30 years ago, with no intention to build new ones today.

We also BLOCKED all Drilling in ANWAR yes that frozen desert and offshore where we have almost a hundred billion barrels of untapped OIL that they know of today

in all we have enough OIL in reserves to supply our needs for at least 60 years.

but we need to push this fallacy of Oil is running out and produce these scare tactics from the HOAX of man-made Global warming.

We do need to develop alternative energy but until we can develop it and make it 1) WORK and 2) be feasible to all then we must use what we have, can we conserve more in some areas? possibly. All I know is I'm tired of hearing that the masses are wasting so much, who is anyone to say that others are wasting just by generalizing statements.

The whacko's always blame them SUV's... truth is without a whacko media suv's wouldn't be vilified so much, it's just a vehicle it not evil and doesn't have a soul alike many ENVIRONMENTALSIT

The problem with making typical KNEE JERK REACTIONS to problems is we end up with FAILED ETHANOL PROGRAMS, that have created other more dire problems like food shortages. we need to look long term and how we can get there and when we get there, now we must be able to allow common sense to reign.

For now this would mean to DRILL,DRILL,DRILL..... I hear the mantra of the far left loonies saying you can't drill your way out of this mess, well maybe not in the long term but certainly in the short term.....We have 1 of 2 choices.

1) we just keep sitting on our hands and watch Oil rise in price to an unaffordable state, and wait for more geo-political problems to possibly shut off the oil supply all while waiting for a VIABLE Alternative energy source

2) until we find Viable Alternative sources we Drill the OIL we have and build more refineries, Build nuclear power plants, we can also use the CLEANER COAL from Wyoming that takes very little to make into a very, very clean source of energy, instead of using the coal from W.V. which by the way a bill by Byrd made sure the coal is used from W.V.for the east coast.

A little common sense would have been warranted back in the 90's and fuel today would be less than half of what it is today. but then again if common sense reigned in this country we would not have the FAR LEFT WHACKO's ruining everything to achieve there SOCIALIST STATE "

" Obama is a centrist-left politician?

ARE YOU SERIOUS?????? Do you even understand what a Centrist is? I THINK NOT

Obama has one of the most LIBERAL SOCIALIST VOTING RECORDS IN THE SENATE He is in the high 80% to low 90% for Liberal voting record which means only a few are worse than him if at all other then Kucinich and the Socialist from Vermont it's OBAMA.

McCain is in the 50% bracket for most Liberal that means he has 49-50 members more liberal than him and about 49-50 members more conservative, with the make up of the Senate this would mean he is more liberal then the Republicans(right of center) in the Senate
This would make McCain a centrist- center in the Senate but in real Life he is just left of Center, because the Real people are NOT as Liberal as this Congress

YOU CAN NEVER CALL OBAMA A centrist With a straight face, NOT EVEN CLOSE he is completely as far left as you can go on the scale any further and he would be off the scale. Let's keep some REALITY in our post, PLEASE.

Ron Paul FAR RIGHT you have this all wrong as well, Ron Paul is a Liberal Libertarian, although many of his views are Right of center many far right, He also has some far left views as well, this is why he is not a Republican nor a Democrat and he is out in LALA LAND on many LEFT WING ISSUES like Kucinich(beam me up Scotty).

Ron Paul is correct on many Constitutional issues and that part of his belief is SPOT ON and most of which during our founding fathers time would have been considered Centrist, but then he gets into the Whacko Isolationist policies of the FAR LEFT and that shows his EXTREME LIBERAL SIDE.

When comparing people to viewpoints one must consider the HUGE LEFT turn our country has made beginning with the days FDR with big Government intervention in our Lives on every level and the massive TAXES imposed upon us by Big Government ideals. This was feared by our founding fathers and has come to fruition of late.

OBAMA a Centrist? this couldn't be any further from the truth then "I DID NOT HAVE SEXUAL RELATIONS WITH THAT WOMAN" "

" After, Years of hearing we need ALTERNATIVE FUELS. The Politicians have FAILED us massively by blocking drilling of Oil in ANWAR and offshore that holds huge reserves while we search for the alternative fuels. Roughly 68% to 82% of US oil reserves are controlled by the Government and NOT accessible to the OIL companies. WHY? When we have 60 years plus of OIL available cant we drill it? I am sure within 60 years we could develop some other forms of commuting and other ways of heating our homes (wait we have at least 120 years of Natural gas but most of that is locked up also) and if we cant develop new energy sources in the next 60 years then we should park all our vehicles and just walk.
Then we have the whackos complaining about drilling in ANWAR. Well maybe they should be protesting in Canada where they drill in the same environment without protest, guess they really dont understand geography, apparently only Alaskan Polar bears are important, which by the way has been on the increase since the late 50s. I know some buy into the notion that we have the technology today for electric or battery cars but its still 10 or more years off to be feasible, and the other technology is still not there yet. Solar is very expensive and the payback takes too long for working Americans to afford. Also wind energy is GREAT if its not in your backyard. I love how everyone tells others to let a wind turbines be built in others backyard but not in theirs?

These could be built away from people and not be a problem we can all agree on that, I used to travel past these and sleeping next to them was out of the question. Why are we not building these in our National and State parks? This would seem feasible to me far enough away from homes to not be a problem and all the environMENTALSIT can visit them when they are protesting against some other worthless cause oops sorry worthy cause according to them. Giant wing turbines on public land would be like SHRINES to those that believe all this over hype of man-made Global warming, after all this is nothing more than a cult of worshipers to the Great Environmentalist GOD.
The HOAX of man-made Global Warming and the total lying going on this subject is totally disgusting, but then again we can thank AL (I created the Internet) Gore and we should applaud him for creating something out of nothing(Man-made global warming HOAX) and making MILLIONS off of it while telling us the American people, that we are wasteful while flying around the world promoting a complete lie in that fictitious comedy he made of a movie, it is full of inaccuracies and as fictitious as a Michael Moore-on movie. Nowhere is Al Gore's environmental hypocrisy more glaring than when it comes to his relationship with Occidental-Petroleum. While on the one hand talking tough about his "big oil" opponents, the Elk Hills sale in 1995 to OCCIDENTAL (yes under the Clinton Administration which he was part of) and other deals show that money has always been more important to Al Gore than ideals. His Lies and deceptions are Grand and should be addressed. "

" Ethanol is proven to be the biggest DISASTER in recent history. Ethanol takes more energy to produce then the energy we get out of it. What kind of energy are we using to Produce Ethanol? YEAH this was a great Idea.

But look at all the votes this program bought and all the money made by those in the know that just happen to have great Political friends. This has been total IRRESPONSIBILITY by the Democrats and some Republicans, the Wimpy Republicans need to grow a set and act like real men instead of letting the Socialist Liberal Democrats use them as pinballs.

Three U.S. senators two Democrats, Tom Harkin of Iowa and Barack Obama of Illinois, along with Indiana Republican Richard Lugar made Ethanol and the cost of food the disaster it is today,

REMEMBER, American Fuels Act of 2007 All these guys should be kicked out of congress and deported for such a blatantly corrupt bill along with anyone that voted for it. I have been arguing for years about the TRUTH of Ethanol and the true cost, only an individual with significant learning difficulties would not have the foresight to have seen this impending disaster. But then again most Americans only get there news from far left imbalanced news agencies (with reporters with far left Socialist viewpoints) and dont make inquiries on their own. Simple mathematics was all that was needed to prove this fallacy of Ethanol being the Savior to the energy needs. Ethanol is actually worse for the environment then GAS

SIMPLY AMAZING how Politicians work; they have been funding ETHANOL production since the 70s with Hundreds of BILLIONS of Dollars wasted on a program that only makes big money for BIG FARMERS, and buys votes.

Yes Obama's legislation on ETHANOL is a disaster and this is just the beginning of HIGH energy cost, because we are not drilling our own oil,Which by the way we have over 60 years of our own OIL that would be drilled but the Government controls 68-82% of all the Reserves

Now Obama wants to use more BIO-FUELS which comes from Soybeans and guess what we need soybeans as FOOD

YEAH OBAMA knows a lot, Lets burn our FOOD FOR FUEL, now thats a GRAND IDEA as for the other legislation listed by others most of it is just for show it really does NOTHING in the real world. "

Kiss your right to express your religion in the public square goodbye. Kiss common sense goodbye, as churches are forced to hire homosexuals and transgendered individuals. Kiss our nation as we know it goodbye.

Obama is nothing but an opportunist. He didn't create the buzz around him. The liberal nut jobs and their media cheer leaders manufactured him. If you think Bush, who had no foreign policy experience prior to 9/11 messed things up, why would you hand the reigns to someone who has even less experience than Bush did prior to his Presidency?

In case you haven't noticed the nation is currently fighting two wars and we are facing tough economic pressures, and people want to hand things over to someone who is a Freshman senator, with NO foreign policy experience and no proven track record. Unbelievable! McCain has foreign policy experience unmatched by any of the candidates, he has a LONG-TERM, proven track record of doing what is right, even if it is politically damaging to him, and he understand that raising taxes (or erasing tax cuts, which is the equivalent of raising taxes) would seal the casket on an already unstable economy.

Thankfully, the majority of Americans are wise to Obama and the media's ways, and Barry does not have a snowball's chance in Hell of winning. I will say it again, mark my words, McCain will win this election by 10 POINTS! You heard it hear first folks! "

Just take the second bill on the search results and you'll find 22 co-sponsors.
