Boleslaw ‘Bill’ Niedzwiecki
Boleslaw “Bill” Niedzwiecki age 87 of Kendall, WI formerly of Milwaukee, WI, died on Wednesday June 4, 2008 in Kendall. He was the son of Teofil and Frances Niedzwiecki and was born July 10, 1920 in Milwaukee. He was united in marriage to Mary M. Palcic on June 5, 1950 and she preceded him in death on April 5, 1975. Boleslaw worked as a steamfitter for WE Energies in the Milwaukee area for many years. He played softball until he was 70 years old, and also enjoyed golfing, and bowling on many different teams. He was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church. He is survived by his niece and nephews; Janet (John) Ray of Kendall, WI, Alvin (Eileen) Gottbeheat of Tomah, WI, Dick (Sue) Gottbeheat of Tomah, WI, Dennis Gottbeheat of Camp Douglas, WI, Norman (Hope) Gottbeheat of Prairieville, WI, a foster son John (Deb) Przybylski of Land O Lakes, WI, and numerous grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday June9, 2008 at 11:00AM at the Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon with Fr. John Ofori-Domah presiding. Relatives and friends may call at the Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon on Monday from 9:30 a.m. till the time of service. Dr. Glenn E. Vandervort
Dr. Glenn E. Vandervort of Kenosha, died Sunday, April 13, 2008. He was born August 11, 1928, in La Crosse to Leon and Adele (Ryckmen) Vandervort.
A gifted musician, he was the organist at the Methodist Church in Tomah and graduated from the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in 1947. He entered the Air Force in 1948, and served as the Chaplain’s Assistant and organist. After his discharge, he entered medical school, graduating in 1960 from UW-Madison Medical School. He worked as a psychiatrist in Madison and Rockford, IL, before opening a psychiatric practice in Kenosha in 1973. He moved to Milwaukee in 1985 and continued to practice until he retired in 1992. He returned to Kenosha in 2007.
Glenn shared his love of classical music with all who were near to him. Family and friends were often treated to Glenn’s impromptu recitals. He was a great cook and enjoyed bringing his homemade treats to all sorts of occasions. His fresh insights and wisdom will be missed by his family and many dear friends.
Glenn is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Scott Mingilino of Kenosha; daughter Beth Vandervort of Milwaukee; former wife Ruth Vandervort; grandsons Daniel Glenn Mingilino and David Vandervort Litton; siblings DeVere Vandervort and Laura Lee (Hal) Wahl; niece Susan (Tom) Ladner; nephews Tom (Debbie) Wahl and Rick Wahl; and close family friend Bill Evans.
A private memorial service is planned.
