Marcus Theatres will offer family-oriented movies this summer on Wednesday and Thursday mornings for a discounted price.
The"Kids Rule" summer film series, which runs through Aug. 14, kicks off at 10 a.m. today and Thursday with "Alvin & The Chipmunks." Tickets are $2.50 and include complimentary popcorn. All films in the series have G or PG ratings.
The rest of the series includes "The Spiderwick Chronicles," June 25 and 26; "Horton Hears a Who!," July 9 and 10; "Nim's Island," July 16 and 17; "Bee Movie," July 23 and 24; "Kung Fu Panda," July 30 and 31; "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl," Aug. 6 and 7; and "Space Chimps," Aug. 13 and 14.
The films will be shown at Cinema Theater, 2032 Ward Ave., La Crosse; and Ho-Chunk Cinema, 135 Witting Road, Tomah, Wis.
