A Necedah man’s body was recovered late Monday from a boat landing in Juneau County.

Michael Slye, 50, was reported missing about 6 a.m. Monday, according to the Juneau County Sheriff’s Department.

He was found about 4:30 p.m. near the 10th Street boat landing in the town of Armenia, near Necedah, the department stated. A preliminary investigation indicates Slye was attempting to retrieve his boat, which had drifted away from the shore.

The incident remains under investigation.
