An open house is planned July 17 from 2-6 p.m. at Tomah Memorial Hospital Warrens Walk-In Clinic

Hospital Marketing/Public Relations Coordinator Eric Prise said the event will include tours of the facility, prizes, including a drawing for overnight stays at the nearby Three Bears Resort, plus food and refreshments. A “live” radio broadcast from the clinic will run from 1-3 p.m., while the Tomah Chamber of Commerce will conduct a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:30 pm.

“Since our official opening June 16, we have been able to provide residents in the Warrens area and visitors to Three Bears Resort a new healthcare option for treatment of minor illnesses and injuries,” Prise said. “Our Open House will give people a chance to see the facility and meet the healthcare professionals who provide care.”

Groundbreaking took place back in December on the 4,000 sq. ft. structure located on the east edge of the village along Cty. Hwy. EW and Interstate 94, adjacent to The Bog Restaurant.

Hospital CEO Phil Stuart said the venture has allowed Tomah Memorial to enhance services while providing local care.

“The clinic is a way by which we can expand our services to an area that has been identified as heavy need and makes our services here at the hospital that much more efficient for patients who really need an emergency room setting,” he explained. He also said the clinic structure has extra space for “yet to be determined expansion of healthcare services.”

Warrens Village president Mike Clark said the facility is a welcome addition to the area.

“For a village our size (approx. 400) to have a clinic in the village limits is fantastic,” he said. “I think it will serve a good purpose for the village and for Jellystone and Three Bears Lodge,” Clark added.

General contractor was Dippen Management Company of Tomah.
