Lunch prices for the 2008-09 school year will be set by the Tomah School Board Thursday.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the new Robert Kupper Learning Center at 1310 Townline Road.

Lunch prices for 2007-08 were $1.65 for students in kindergarten through fifth grade, $1.85 for students in grades 6-8 and $1.95 for students grades 9-12.

Breakfast prices are $1 for students K-8 and $1.15 for students 9-12.

The Finance Committee will also discuss meal prices when it meets Monday at 6:30 p.m.

Two other budgetary matters will come before the board. Board members will review the 2008-09 budget and set substitute teacher pay for 2008-09.

Other agenda items include:

* Presentation of proposed K-12 art curriculum.

* Annual Native American report.

* Report on the bus driver training program.

* Status of participation of non-public school students in Tomah Middle School’s athletic programs.

* Request to implement Wisconsin Interscholastic Horsemanship Program for grades 6-12.

* Requests to drop high school basketball cheerleading and middle school competition cheerleading and change the middle school basketball cheerleading program to a middle school dance program.

* Establish the Aug. 11 annual meeting agenda.

* Designate bank depositories, newspaper of record and school attorneys for 2008-09.

* Review policy on professional staff ethics.

* Resignations and approval of contracts, including several head coaching positions at the high school.

After the regular meeting, the board will meet in closed session to discuss several personnel issues, including possible action by the Tomah Education Association regarding a coaching position.
